What does the start-of-trip notification mean?

When auto mode suspects a trip (see How does auto mode work?), the application triggers its recording, alerting the user via a start-of-trip notification.

If the speed measurement matches that of a vehicle, the trip is confirmed. In this case, the application will continue to record the trip and will analyse it as soon as it is completed.

Otherwise, the trip will be cancelled by the application and the data will not be recorded.
