Do I have to activate Bluetooth for the app to detect my Beacon with my iPhone?

This is not necessary because the iBeacon emission standard was designed by Apple in 2013 and is compatible with all iPhones.

Thus, they are able to detect the Beacon even when the Bluetooth is deactivated.
