Battery consumption is a key factor for all mobile applications. We have worked to ensure that the battery consumption is as low as possible:
- when you are not driving: battery consumption is negligible and generally less than 1% for 24 hours of smartphone use;
- when you're driving: the app consumes about 2 to 3% of battery power per hour of operation.
The main reason for battery consumption is the use of the GPS sensor. The mobile app consumes less than navigation apps (Google Maps or Waze) because it does not require keeping the screen on.
In general, if you drive one hour a day, it will have a negligible impact on the phone's battery. However, if you are a professional driver, it is recommended to connect your phone to a charger during your trips.
